"Tips and Tricks" for an easier, everyday life!!
- Microwave
- Stuck on Food-thoroughly wet a dishcloth or towel, a well-used one is best. Place in microwave and heat on high for 1-2 minutes, this will loosen up stuck on food mess. Wipe clean with dry cloth or paper towels.
- Odor-Cut a whole orange or lemon and place in a full bowl of water. Microwave on high for 3-5 minutes. Not only will this loosen up stuck on food mess, but will eliminate odor.
- Pots and Pans
- Rusty Copper Bottom Pans-Cut a lemon in half then dip pulp-side in kosher salt. In circular motion, scrub bottom of pan. The chemical reaction between the lemon and salt acts as an acid to eat through the rust. The salt also acts as a scouring agent to remove stuck on spots.
- Stuck on Food-Place two effervescent tablets in bottom of pan. Fill with warm water and let set 10 minutes. Stuck on food will dissipate with bubbles. Be sure to set pan in sink to avoid overspilling when tablets begin to bubble up.
- Refrigerator
- After cleaning as usual, rinse using clean water with a teaspoon of lemon extract added for a fresh scent.
- Dishwasher
- If soap film is left on your dishes, run a cup of white vinegar through an empty, full cycle.
